The campaign started at approximately the same time as last year. The yields obtained at the first stage are average for the region.

As Ilya Troitsky, agronomist-technologist, explains, "in Bashtansky district, where the main share of sunflower crops is concentrated, high temperatures are kept all summer. Hot weather affects the vegetation of the crop, and often it "burns out" before reaching its potential productivity".

This season Prometey plans to harvest sunflower from 7,900 hectares.
