Prometey restores operation of the elevator damaged by shelling in Mykolaiv region

12.10.2023

In 2023, Prometey Group's grain storage facilities in Dnipro and Mykolaiv regions, including the elevator in Voznesensk, which was damaged by shelling by the occupiers, were restored and put into operation, said Oleksandr Shutov, Head of Elevator Operations, in an interview with Elevatorist.com.

The company cleared the rubble, restored warehouses and infrastructure, and put the storage facility back into operation. The elevator is now operating as usual.

According to Alexander Shutov, the main risk now is the situation with exports. 2 years ago, Prometheus elevators made 2-3 turns per season, while now they make 1 turn.

"But we are still optimistic, making every effort to make the elevator business of Prometey Group profitable. As for the risk of a possible power outage due to infrastructure attacks, most elevators already have industrial generators that will ensure the operation of storage facilities in the absence of electricity. We will be able to continue receiving, shipping, and drying, and operate fully," he added.

Earlier, the company announced an increase in demand for storage services due to low grain prices.
